The Dollmistress and City of Villains

Dollmistress was set free from the Zig on the 22nd January 2006. She attained Threat Level 40 within 5 weeks and following Issue 7 took a further 2 weeks to earn Threat Level 50.
The essence of her character remains unchanged - she is a malevolent psychic supervillainess driven to enslave others to her will because illogical and free-thinking nearby mental activity causes her real emotional and psychic pain. The details of how she came to be have however been altered to fit into the world of CoV, and so below are the sequential Biographies I have carried so far.

LEVEL 1-19 (First Bio)

A tragic Administrative error resulted in Celine "Jadegirl" Orken being mistakenly assigned patrol of Cap Au Diable as her very first assignment. Ambushed by the Facemaker as she recklessly hovered in downtown Haven , Celine was overwhelmed, captured, and transformed into the creature known as "Dollmistress". Intended for use as an assassination weapon against Ghost Widow, Dollmistress received extensive physical remodeling, total memory erasure, and the ability to enslave others to her irresistible will. Her psychic powers were magnified ten-fold, cursing her with the ability to read the mind of anyone within a mile of her person. The newfound abilities drove her insane. Dollmistress ambushed Ghost Widow as commanded, but was bested easily. Spared and sent to the Zig out of pity, she began to assemble a loyal collective of enthralled "dolls", before escaping to join the ranks of Arachnos and complete her preprogrammed mission.

LEVEL 20-29 (Second Bio)

Involving herself with Seer Marino's plot to betray Ghost Widow, Celine "The Dollmistress" Orken achieved her goal of meeting the Arch Villain in person and challenging her in single combat. But Ghost Widow had other ideas. This time, instead of defeating Dollmistress, she professed a kinship with the fledgling villainess, using her powers to break Facemaker's hold on the poor girl's mind. Revealing the truth of Celine's programming, Ghost Widow took her newfound comrade under her wing, and disorientated and confused, Dollmistress accepted. Now taking pity on the undying Ghost Widow, Celine found hope in the promise that if she were to continue her career within Arachnos and manifest the power of the Destined One, all her memories would be restored. Still half-mad and malevolently evil, Dollmistress coveted the bargain and continued her ascension apace.

LEVEL 30-39 (Third Bio)

As Ghost Widow promised, when Celine "Dollmistress" Orken manifested the power of the Destined One, all her memories were restored. But the revelation that she had once been a super heroine was too much for her already shattered psyche to bear. In a fit of despair, Celine blinded herself and flung her body from the top of the Lonely Tower, crashing into the shores of Fort Cerberus below. However, Ghost Widow is skilled in the Arts of the Spirit World. Unsatisfied with this conclusion, the Arch Villainess cruelly drew the remnants of Celine's consciousness back into her broken body, for use as an extension of her will. Now barely human, Dollmistress divides her duties between serving the Widows and the Arbiters of Arachnos. In her madness, her half-remembered life as a heroine drives her to patrol Mercy and aid the weak, while the will of her Patron motivates her to grow in power and fulfill her fate as a Destined One of Arachnos, Lieutenant to Ghost Widow.

LEVEL 40-50 (Fourth Bio)

For some time, Celine "Jadegirl" Orken - former superheroine, has served Arachnos as an extension of Ghost Widow's will. Originally transformed by the Facemakers into a mindless programmed assassin intended as a weapon to destroy the Widows, Dollmistress was driven to suicide by revelations of her past and reborn to a living death, her anguished soul forcibly sustained within her broken body by the will of her Patron. But all is not as it seems. By restoring Celine's memories, the power of the Destined One has also resurrected an echo of her former self. Now promoted to Seer, the Dollmistress appears to flit back and forth between her good and evil personas, her mind struggling with itself as the will of Ghost Widow vies for dominance over Celine's own powerful psyche.

Which personality will triumph, is a revelation yet to be foretold.

LEVEL 50 AND BEYOND...(Final Bio)

Pronounced "The Widow's Dark Hand" by Ghost Widow herself, Celine "Dollmistress" Orken's existence bear little resemblance to her former life as the fledgling Superheroine "Jadegirl". First captured and enslaved by the Vahzilok, then "liberated" to far worse servitude as Ghost Widow's Lieutenant, Celine has finally resolved the inner conflict of her noble and dark personas, becoming fully herself once more.

Choosing to remain an agent of Arachnos following her defeat of Statesman and the dissolution of Project: Destiny, the Dollmistress now focuses her attention on recruiting and training new "Destined One" hopefuls and thwarting the efforts of her rivals. She is no longer a Superheroine, no longer a pawn, and no longer answers to any authority besides Ghost Widow, her eternal Mistress.

POWERS

Following previous incarnations, the CoV Dollmistress is a Technology based Dominator possessed of Mind Control and Psionic Assault powers. I can also fly (because it is fabulous to fly) and heal others. Originally I added Leadership skills to my repertoire, but found these proved an enormous drain on my already swiftly-depleted Endurance. I therefore switched to Fitness when I "respecced" my powers. During the respec, I also removed my telekinetic powers (since they don't fit with the concept of Dollmistress) and replaced them with additional Mind Control powers.

SOCIAL CONNECTIONS

Dollmistress is close friends with Oblivia, Nyla/Femme Fatal, Dr. Evermind, Damon-Sturm, Venus-Flytrap, Hyperieous, JR., Phoenix Storm, Redeye to Hell, Chicken Man, Anti - Christ, Lord Ulff, Demoniker, Threnody, Omega Scourge, Mad Imp, Sinder Block, Oompaloomparex, GOLD FACE, Durien, Soiled Rot, Mecano, Shadowwo1f, ReDorthy, and all members of her Supergroup. I owe a debt to Nyla for inviting me to my first Supergroup, and another to Dr. Evermind for inviting me to my second. Without Oblivia, I would never have completed the Lord Recluse Strike Force. Without Evil Canadian Ninja, I wouldn't have Tech Wings and without Knarnita I wouldn't have earned Back From the Future!

As of 1st February 2008, Dollmistress has acquired 486 badges! (still holding on in the top 5 on my server according to www.badge-hunter.com)

OCC NOTES

I installed myself within the CoV universe on January 23rd 2006. Within a week I progressed to level 23, and by the end of my second week had achieved level 30, which was my interim goal while I had practically nothing else to do with my time. In another week I reached level 33, having slowed down a little (I started helping out new players and patrolling Mercy for at least 20% of the time I spend in the game). By the end of my fourth week I achieved level 37, and by the following Friday I reached the grand level of 40. My aim was to reach 40 before the Issue 7 update, and I have now done that with so much time to spare that I went on to create "alts" of each Archetype before Issue 7 finally arrived on the 6/6/06. By the 19th, I was already level 50, and now am concentrating on filling out my badge gaps, having finally completed the seemingly impossible Lord Recluse Strike Force. In November 2006, I levelled one Dollmistress from each Archetype to level 50, and went into semi-retirement. I levelled Jadegirl (Doll's former self) to 50 in January 2007, and cannot leave the game until I have created an Epic Archetype (if they ever arrive)

As per my character and the CoV derivative, Dollmistress is very friendly, outgoing and approachable. If you are fortunate enough to encounter me on "patrol" in Mercy with your low-level character, expect my to aid you in some small way before moving on, and act like the rather cutely insane childlike mad person I am. I am similarly chipper and generous during missions, though please note that I react very badly to dying and incurring debt, especially since I almost never die in a solo missions and therefore irrationally blame everyone else for whatever team mistake I might make :) Oh yes, and whatever you do, do *not* Speed Boost or teleport me. I despise moving faster than I am used to (it has got me killed on several occasions while trying to turn a corner when fleeing from enemies) and moving me around against my will is just rude.

It cost 586 HP to fall from the top of the Lonely Tower in Mercy.

On Feb 12th, I came 2nd (in the three way First Prize tiebreaker) in my Super Group's costume contest. I had no idea I would do so well!

On March 28th, I was offered an Overlordship of the Faux Pas, a quiet Supergroup whose leader had disappeared into thin air. Of course, I refused, but an evil alternate-universe doppleganger of me accepted!

On April 15th, I created the Faux Pas website, dedicated to this growing and successful Supergroup.

Between April and June, many "alternate" Dollmistress' began to spring up around the Rouge Islands, all bent on the destruction of Celine Orken!

On July 21st, the "Dollmistress Saga" found itself finally validated by the REAL Ghost Widow herself, who visited the Champion Server during the City of Villains "Double XP Weekend", teamed with myself and members of my Supergroup, and bestowed upon me the title "The Widow's Dark Hand".

At the Pocket D Issue 8 party, Manticore awarded me the badge title "Tee Hee"!

On the 7th June 2007, after 10 months of hunting, I FINALLY defeated the Arachnos Flyer and earned my Heat Seeker badge. It was a looooong time coming. For pictures of Dollmistress' build and those of her alts, visit the Gallery
